The Twin Sisters Farmers Market is a fresh produce stand that operates five months out of the year on Nugents Corner and in Kendall in Whatcom County, Wash. People living in East Whatcom County average a 30-minute commute each day, according to a Food Landscape Report. They have access to nine convenience stores but no full-service grocery stores, according to the report."The Twin Sisters Farmers Market was born in the winter of 2015, when a group of young farmers connected over their goal to increase access to locally grown and affordable food in the foothills region of Whatcom County," according to their website.
